Set in the middle of awe-inspiring nature and splendid wildlife, in the middle of Sweden in the county Hälsingland, we can offer you quality time in very comfortable accommodation where a sense of history can still be felt.

Located 375km north of Stockholm, in the county of Gävleborg is the municipality of Ljusdal where along road 84, and between the villages of Färila and Kårböle, you will find Törnbergets national park.

There, set between the two wonderful lakes of Ängratörn and Laforssjön, is a place called Ängra… Our very own little paradise!

If you are looking for some wildlife experience and action, or if you just want to relax and de-stress and enjoy this awesome landscape…, you should come and visit Ängra.

Also situated in the area, about 60km away, is the unique and superb wildlife centre of Järvzoo where along a 3km long boardwalk visitors can enjoy the wildlife of the area in an environment as close to its natural habitat as possible. From hedgehogs, birds and ants to bear, lynx and wolf the centre is open all year round.

Of course we cannot guarantee the weather conditions, but at only 500km south of the Arctic circle it can still get very cold and the winters usually sees a lot of snow. In this area, where you can experience a magical white Christmas, you also find a 1000km of snowscooter tracks.

Crosscountry ski tracks can be found all over the area and we are less then 40 minutes from Järvsöbacken, a well known middle sized downhill ski area which opens from late November until the end of March. More about Järvsöbacken on www.Jarvsobacken.se
